Day 1 – Gateway Airport Home/Bogota

Check in at your Gateway International Airport for a connection flight to Bogota in South America.

Day 2 – Bogota

Change the connection flight and arrive at Bogota, the Capital of Colombia. You will be met at the airport by your tour guide and transferred to the hotel. City tour and sightseeing include the well-preserved colonial part of the city La Candelaria, Local Market, Gold Museum, Botero Museum, Congress House, Christopher Columbus theater, Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Protestant Megachurch, Bogota Colombia Mormon Temple. Take the cable car up to Mt Monserrate at 10,000 feet high for expansive views to the city.

Day 3 – Bogota

Visit a popular pilgrimage site, the Zipaquira’s fascinating underground salt cathedral, located 600 feet deep underground, this monumental architectural masterpiece built inside a salt mine. Following with the labyrinth of tunnels, you will find the Stations of the Cross, angels and Madonna Statue there.

Day 4 – Bogota/Cartagena

Take the flight to Cartagena, listed on UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the Monastery of La Popa, built in 17th Century, the San Felipe Fort, to protect the city from pirates. Head into the walled colonial city and plazas of Old Cartagena. Visit San Pedro Claver Church.

Day 5 – Cartagena/Terria Bomba Island

Take a short boat cruise to the Terria Bomba Island for your overnight stay. Enjoy your ocean island life, a short break from the historic sites.

Day 6 – Terria Bomba Island/Cartagena/Medellin

Take the boat to cross the bay to the airport. Take the flight to Medellin, the 2nd largest and most progressive city in Colombia, with its nick name as “City of Everlasting Spring”.

Day 7- Medellin

City tour and sightseeing include the Biblioteca Espana, the Parque Berrio, with the famous sculpture La Gorda, the Antique Museum, the Basilica Metropolitana, and the Paisa Village. Take the cable car to the mountain and valley for an impressive view of the city.

Day 8 – Medellin/Bogota

Take the flight back to Bogota. Shopping for gifts and souvenir before the end of the trip.

Day 9 – Bogota/Gateway Airport Home

Connection flight to the Gateway Airport home, you arrive on same day.
